Measurement reed tip

Because I was not satisfied by the shape of the reed tip I decide to measure the exact shape and determine a better curve.

What I did until now is determin a circle and a diameter that fits the best.

The figure above shows how wrong that is. The green curve is the measured curve and it is not possible to define a circle that fits well.

Also an ellipse is not offering a possible fit.

So I tried an expontentional curve just like the one used for the facing curve of the table.

The formula I used is y =s_reed*POWER(x/(d_reed/2);factor).

The powe factor that gave the best fit is 3.
